For the third year in a row, DK Pierce & Associates, Inc. (DK Pierce) was named as one of the Best Places to Work in Indiana. This 14th annual program was created by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and Best Companies Group and was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the participating employers in Indiana with the leading workplace cultures. The 2019 list is made up of 125 companies from across all of Indiana.
DK Pierce is a company focused on its passion – of ensuring patient access to treatments for cancer and rare diseases. The company, a certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE), works with biopharmaceutical companies as they develop and bring to market biopharmaceutical treatments for complex diseases such as cancer and rare diseases. “Being part of the Best Places to Work in Indiana for a third year acknowledges that our passion and vision are important, and our business model and culture is one with purpose,” says Denise Pierce, President and CEO of DK Pierce. In October, the company celebrated its one-year anniversary in its new headquarters in Creekside Corporate Park in Zionsville.
“We have many tremendous employers in the state, so it’s great to see more and more companies take part in this effort to evaluate their workplace cultures and gain the recognition they deserve,” says Indiana Chamber President Kevin Brinegar. “These companies consistently demonstrate to their employees how much they value their contributions.”
Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine alignment with criteria for consideration in the Best Places to Work in Indiana program. Part 1 consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics – this accounted for 25% of the evaluation. Part 2 consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience, which was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings.
Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Indiana, analyzed the data, and determined the final rankings, which will be announced at an awards dinner on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, then published in the May-June issue of the Indiana Chamber’s BizVoice® magazine.
